Luke 10:25-37

Key Passage: “A man fell among robbers… a priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him he passed by on the opposite side.  Likewise, a Levite came to the place and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.  But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight.”

For Adults: How do you make the decision to cross to the other side to help?

For Children:  Why wouldn’t you help someone in need?

Luke 10:1-9

Key Passage: “Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.”  If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest upon them, but if not, it will return to you.”

For Adults: How can you bring greater peace to your household?

For Children: How can you bring happiness into your home?

Luke 9:51-62

Key Passage: As they were proceeding on their journey, someone said to Jesus, “I will follow you wherever you go.”  Jesus said to another, “Follow me!”  But he replied, let me go and… And another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first…”

For Adults: How do you establish priorities in your daily life?

For Children: Tell about a time when you made the right choice even thought it was hard!

Luke 9: 18-24

Key Passage: Jesus asked, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, ‘One of the ancient prophets has arisen.’”  Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”  Peter said in reply, “The Christ of God.”

For Adults: We too claim Jesus as the “Christ of God”, what segment or mannerism of your daily behavior would actually lead others to believe Jesus fulfills that role in your life?
