YEAR OF MERCY PILGRIMAGE
September 11, 2016
On Sunday, September 11, 2016 the Roamin’ Catholics will celebrate the Jubilee of Mercy with a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows in Starkenburg, Missouri, just East of Hermann. After passing through the Holy Door our day will begin with an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by a Procession with the Rosary and a hillside procession of the Stations of the Cross. There will also be personal time for self reflection and prayer for Divine Mercy. The pilgrimage will end with a Benediction and a closing outdoor Mass. Father Francis and Deacon Bill are making arrangements to con-celebrate the Mass with Father Duncan. There will also be a traditional German lunch which includes fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, slaw and dessert. The day will end with a wine tasting at Adam Puchta Winery in Hermann.
Due to the lack of reservations, there will not be a bus, but we will be carpooling, plan on leaving promptly at 8:30 a.m. (plan on being there by 8:20) on the morning of the 11th. from the West side of Parkade Plaza and returning around 6:30. The total cost for the day is $15 per person. You can contact Ron Meyer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Colleen Meyer (email@example.com) at 573-445-2270 with questions or to request a reservation.
