Join the next Roamin’’Catholics adventure Saturday, April 13 as we explore some wonderful offerings in Kansas City. The bus will leave the church parking lot promptly at 7:30 a.m.
The first stop will be at the Steamboat Arabia Museum for a guided tour explaining the history of a side wheeler steamboat that sank in the Missouri River in 1856, was completely covered by mud, silt and water and was rediscovered in 1988. We’ll learn about the salvage and the restoration of thousands of artifacts.
The next stop will be at Jack Stack’s Barbecue. Zagat rated this restaurant as having the “best barbecue in the country.”
The last stop will be the Nelson Art Museum for a guided tour by a museum docent. The tour will include a history of the museum plus an overview of the museum’s famous collections. There should also be some time available to explore on your own. We will return to the church around 6:30 p.m.
