The Church in the Modern World
Adult Faith Formation Series
Sacred Heart Activity Building
Every Thursday beginning March 2, from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Have you ever found yourself during Mass wondering what something means as you listen to the Scriptures? Perhaps something mentioned in a homily was unclear? Maybe you know you’re Catholic, but you’re not sure why the Church teaches what she does on a number of pressing and important issues? Perhaps you want to be better able to explain to friends what you and the Church believe? Or maybe you’re just curious.
This series of classes is geared to adults age 18 or older. The Church in the Modern World is both a reference to Vatican II’s Gaudium et Spes, as well as something broad enough to cover a wide variety of topics. It is not necessary to attend every week – come and go as you please. Topics will be announced in advance. While it won’t be necessary to review before class, readings and resources will be posted to the following link, Fr. Geoffrey Brooke
