The Sacred Heart Catholic Community Foundation

The Sacred Heart Catholic Community Foundation was established in January 1998 as a means for individuals and organizations to provide long-term financial stability for the charitable, religious and educational purposes of Sacred Heart Parish, Columbia, Missouri.

Changing Lives in Four Areas

The Foundation operates endowments in four areas of focus that parallel the parish’s commissions:

Administration – The General Fund was established to support our parish buildings and facilities, emergency needs and special projects as well as support to administer the Foundation.

Education – The Education Endowment helps youth and adult education programs within our parish.

Liturgy –  The Father Edwin Cole Endowment for the Promotion of Liturgical Arts and Preservation of the Church Environment serves as a vehicle for enhancing our liturgy and sacredness of our church space.

Social Concerns – The Sister Agnes Schlereth Social Concerns Endowment promotes charitable and service activities in the parish, Columbia Missouri area and across the globe.

Management of the Foundation: The foundation’s volunteer board of directors is composed of parishioners of Sacred Heart.  The Pastor and the President of the Parish Council are permanent members.

Consider giving: Annual distributions are made from the earnings of each of the four endowments.  Consequently, your original gift, combined with the perpetual endowment of your choice, does work for decades.  Yours is truly a gift that keeps on giving.

Types of Gifts Accepted: The Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of cash, stocks, bonds, retirement accounts, charitable remainder trusts, real estate, personal property and other planned giving methods.
